HDMI

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the next- generation interface replacing the existing DVI connector. It is commonly seen in consumer electronics products, such as digital television, DVD players and set-top boxes. HDMI is backwards compatible with DVI and is much smaller and more user-friendly. The connector system supports the transmission of uncompressed video and audio data along a single cable at 5Gb/s.
